On Sunday September 13th 2015 the Meditation Center of Nippori in Tokyo, Japan, arranged a meditation retreat and Venerable Thaniyo gave a Japanese sermon on the topic of “Double your happiness!!”.
Venerable Phrakhrusamu Sanitwong Wuttiwangso, director of Communication Department and assistant abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya stated that on occasion of “Coronation Day”, Wat Phra Dhammakaya Tochigi collaborated with Dhammakaya International Meditation Center Tochigi to organize an ordination ceremony and a laywomen/laymen training program for the Japanese locals in order to spread the Buddha’s teachings sustainably for the public.
Ryukoku University offers a meditation course led by Dhammaduta monks, focusing on Samatha-Vipassana and modern mindfulness. The course highlights the intersection of Buddhist studies with contemporary practices.
